About the Book
For human life, devotion is the simplest and safest path. In response to Arjuna’s question, Shri Krishna explains that worship of the formless, unmanifest Brahman is indeed possible, but for an embodied being, it is a difficult path. Therefore, loving devotion to the manifest form of God is easier and more accessible.
Describing the progressive steps of devotion, Shri Krishna says: first, fix your mind and intellect on God. If that is not possible, then practice spiritual discipline. If even that seems difficult, dedicate all your actions to God. And if that too cannot be done, then renounce attachment to the fruits of your actions, for peace is attained through the relinquishment of desire for results.
Here, Shri Krishna describes the qualities of the “beloved devotee” — one who is free from hatred, compassionate, devoid of ego and possessiveness, balanced in joy and sorrow, honor and dishonor, forgiving, content, self-controlled, and whose mind and intellect are surrendered to God. Such a devotee is exceedingly dear to Him.
Poojan Kiska Karein? By reading this, every human being can understand how God may truly be attained.
