In the late 1970s, in Baroda, Vishwas and Aditi are neighbours. Vishwas comes from a close- knit, loving family, while Aditi has a turbulent home life with a tyrannical father.
They fall in love, as young people do, and make grand plans for their future. Fate has something else in store, however, and crossed wires cause the lovers to part in acrimony, with each accusing the other of treachery and betrayal.
Years later, their children, Swapna and Bhaskar, meet, and as history threatens to repeat itself, they are forced to confront painful secrets and the legacy of a lost love.
