Heaven's Unclaimed: Gods of Last Age - Book I
byKaustav Mukherjee
About the Book
HEAVEN’S UNCLAIMED
HEAVEN FEARED THE WRONG CHILD.
The gods have spent an age waiting for their saviour.
They know the prophecy. They know the signs. They know the child who is meant to stand against the end.
And when he finally comes, Heaven recognises him.
But somewhere else, another child is growing.
Shunyata has no prophecy. No divine claim. No throne waiting for him.
Yet where he goes, certainty begins to fail.
Sacred laws behave as though they have forgotten themselves. Impossible things leave traces where none should exist. Assassins move beneath black umbrellas. Kings begin asking questions Heaven would rather remain unanswered.
And the gods begin to watch a nine-year-old boy who has done nothing wrong.
One child is welcomed as the answer to a dying age. The other becomes the question Heaven cannot answer.
Whispers become suspicion. Suspicion becomes doctrine. And doctrine needs only one thing before it becomes violence:
someone to blame.
Shunyata does not know why Heaven fears him. He does not know what the gods believe they have seen. He knows only that, little by little, the world has begun deciding what he is before he has learned who he wants to become. But Heaven has made one terrible mistake. It believes the greatest danger is the child it cannot understand.
Heaven’s Unclaimed begins Gods of Last Age, an epic mythic fantasy of prophecy, divine politics, forbidden power and a child caught inside a war built from fear.
The end of the age is coming. Heaven may have just given it a reason.
