Shrimadbhagavadgita: Main Kaun Hoon? - Part 7
byDr. Rajesh Takyar
About the Book
Part seven of the Shrimadbhagavadgita, “Main kaun hoon?,” contains 30 verses. In this part, Shri Krishna explains His form, nature, maya, devotion, and the creation of the universe, offering a detailed answer to the question, “Who am I?” He tells Arjuna that He is now going to reveal divine knowledge such that, once known, nothing else in this world will remain to be known. Shri Krishna explains that He has created material nature through His lower energy 'APRA', and into all of it He has infused His higher spiritual energy 'PARA'. Through this, the entire universe and human life function.
Because of His maya, people fail to recognize Him and remain attached to worldly pleasures. He also explains the different kinds of devotees. God also explains that those who worship other deities are actually worshipping Him alone, but they perceive them as separate due to a lack of understanding.
He teaches that God is attained through faith, love, and devotion. This part further explains that only the person who rises above His maya and approaches Him with faith, devotion, and surrender can know Him fully.
Then the Lord reveals a secret: “I remain with that human being until the moment of death.”
